Evan Stone Gives New Interview to Dr. Rod Berger at Core of Education

Co-CEO of Educators 4 Excellence weighs in on topics such as teacher evaluation and technology in the classroom.

PRLog - Jan. 13, 2014 - Educators 4 Excellence (https://twitter.com/Ed4Excellence) Co-CEO Evan Stone took time out to chat with the Core about educators and his work to broaden their base of resources. Evan attended a small private school in California and quickly experienced the achievement gap when his best friend was unable to attend the same school and experienced a wildly different education in the public sector. Stone wanted to address this issue in college and eventually taught for Teach for America at the largest elementary school in New York at PS 86 in the Bronx.

Dr. Berger and Stone talk about his background as an educator, technology in the classroom, and the controversial topic of teacher evaluation.

"If we begin to focus on the positive aspects of evaluation, which are that we know what your strenghths and weaknesses are so we can really help you grow as a professional, I think we'll get a broader support from teachers." says Stone.
