"For the first time, we had complete creative control; from conception, to engineering and production. For our first two albums, we worked a more traditional approach; with studios, engineers, and producers to make our record. For Valhalla, we took our training wheels off. We decided to take the reins and cut out the middle man," explained frontman Evan Yan.
The Influencers will be offering Valhalla as a free download. Anyone who is interested in hearing the album can visit http://theinfluencersband.com on or after March 11th.
Evan Yan and Steven Suarez are joined by collaborators Jeremiah and Kayli Renee, who are featured on vocals, and Danny Casale, of YouTube's "DannysStudios"
Valhalla features ten new songs and two bonus tracks, which are re-recordings of previously released songs.
Of the re-recordings, Yan said, "They're two popular songs from our past albums, 'Overview Effect' and 'Arcadia.' We were able to record them the way we wanted the songs to come out. It's extremely interesting how different they are from the originals. You can hear a development and finer level of detail. It's really what we wanted the songs to be."
