Hellas Construction Joins the U.S. Soccer Foundation as National Partner

Partnership highlights Hellas as the official turf provider and field construction partner of the Foundation

WASHINGTON - Jan. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- The U.S. Soccer Foundation announced that Hellas Construction, Inc. has been selected as the National Partner for the Foundation’s Safe Places to Play (http://www.ussoccerfoundation.org/our-programs/safe-places-to-play) program. The Safe Places to Play program focuses on creating or enhancing field spaces in underserved areas in order to provide safer places for children to play soccer. To date, the Foundation has helped create or improve over 1,000 safe places for children to play nationwide.

Through this partnership, both Hellas and the U.S. Soccer Foundation are seeking to not only grow the sport of soccer but utilize it to make a positive impact in communities across the nation. As a national partner, Hellas will provide the means to assist non-profit organizations looking to build synthetic turf fields in their respective communities - supplying them with all necessary synthetic turf needs.  Hellas will also provide the organizations with in-house construction resources to ensure quality field construction. This partnership is intended to provide over 2.5 million square feet of field playing surfaces.

“We are dedicated to offering the best synthetic turf products to the soccer community and partnering with the U.S. Soccer Foundation is instrumental in our future efforts. This partnership affirms Hellas’ commitment to developing America’s youth soccer players,” said Reed J. Seaton, president and chief executive officer of Hellas Construction, Inc. “Through its grants program, the U.S. Soccer Foundation plays an important role in helping improve the well-being of today’s youth through soccer. We are excited to collaborate with them to further that cause.”

“We are extremely excited to announce Hellas as our National Partner for the Safe Places to Play program,” said Ed Foster-Simeon, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Soccer Foundation. “As a leader in sports construction in the United States, Hellas provides the needed resources and support to help grow the sport of soccer. Together, we’ll continue to give children a safe environment to play, grow, and thrive.”
