Supports disabled children
JEDDAH – Ahmed Abdulwahed Trading Co., the exclusive distributor of Braun – a German premium brand for electrical home appliances – has signed an agreement with the Disabled Children's Association (DCA), whereby the trading company allocates a percentage of the sales of the "Baby version" of Braun household products to support the Association in its efforts to serve children with disabilities.
Under the agreement, an immediate support of the Association activities is been given.
The agreement was signed by DCA Secretary-General Awad Al-Ghamdi and Ahmed Abdulwahed Trading Deputy CEO Mohamed Ahmed Abdulwahed.
The deal envisaged that a percentage of the sales of a selected range of Braun products including the Baby hand blender the new product of Braun for 2014 will be donated to the association.
The deputy CEO said the “agreement aims to support the association's financial resources to ensure the strength and expansion of its social, therapeutic, rehabilitative and educational services for the disabled children in various parts of the Kingdom.”
The deputy CEO added that the agreement is in line with Ahmed Abdulwahed Trading’s corporate social responsibility, noting that looking after the cause of the Disabled Children's Association “is one of the noblest steps taken by the company.
Meanwhile, DCA secretary-general praised Ahmed Abdulwahed Trading’s initiative, saying that the gesture it has taken “is an extension of many humanitarian initiatives adopted by the private sector in the Kingdom.”
Moreover, Al-Ghamdi also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the executive vice president of the company and all its employees in its efforts to implement the agreement, pointing out that the association has always sought to reach different sectors of society in order to publicize its charitable mission, and raising awareness of the issue of disability.
Yousef Al Shemaly, Sales Manager Braun Company, Ahmed Abdul Wahed Trading, added that the new agreement emphasized the company's concern and interest in supporting social and charitable work in the Kingdom.
