DALLAS - Jan. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- DALLAS, TEXAS (January 3, 2014)… Ready or not, the 2014 Dallas & Fort Worth Winter Boat Expo (http://www.dallasboatexpo.com)kicks off boating season. Coming to Dallas Market Hall Jan. 31-Feb. 9, 2014.  Admission is free on Monday, February 3 for each person who donates four canned-food items to the North Texas Food Bank (http://web.ntfb.org/) (NTFB).

New this year -- the winter expo will open at noon Monday through Thursday for the convenience of the business lunch crowd. Food vendors will have lunch selections for purchase.

Presented by the United Boat Dealers of North Texas, the DFW Boat Expo will have more than 450 all new 2014 boat and watercraft models on display and available for purchase from 20 North Texas boat dealers during 10 consecutive days. Nearly 100 different vendors will have booths.

“Boating is an affordable, family-friendly recreational activity, and the winter boat show is the best time of year to buy a boat,” says Bron Beal, director of the DFW Boat Expo. “All new models will be on display, with some models being unveiled for the first time. And, great financial incentives are available.

“Visitors will have an opportunity to view the latest trends in boats at theexpo,” Beal adds, “including boats designed for lake surfing, boats with a living room/patio for entertaining, more affordable personal water craft, and high tech options like Bluetooth and joystick steering.”

The DFW Boat Expo is one of the only private boat shows in the country and is the only show in the North Texas region and Oklahoma City. And while many people tend to think of Texas for its horses and cowboys, it may come as a surprise to learn that Texas is the No. 2 boat state in the country, behind Minnesota.

Dallas Market Hall is located at 2200 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75207. Parking is free.
