PRLog - Jan. 10, 2014 - HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- Custom Computer Specialists, Inc. (“Custom”), a leading IT services provider, announced that Adam Schneider, Instructional Technology Manager at Custom has earned his Google Apps for Education (“GAFE”) Trainer Certification.
Mr. Schneider has been an educator since 1997, and a part of the Custom team since 2011. Today he manages Custom’s Professional Development Group, which delivers professional development aligned with Common Core Standards. With a focus on coaching and mentoring, he has implemented and integrated Google Apps in multiple schools in the New York City Department of Education, and has also helped many schools pilot and rollout Google Apps Student ePortfolios.
“Through our coaching and mentoring, we can help a school realize the true collaborative potential of GAFE, as well as the invaluable importance of an ePortfolio that showcases the student’s career in learning,” says Mr. Schneider.
As one of only 27 individuals to earn their certification in New York, JP Nel, Director at Custom says of Mr. Schneider, “We are very proud of Adam’s accomplishment and the high standard of service he is able to offer our clients through the knowledge and expertise he has received from earning this certification.”
Certified Trainers for GAFE are selected amongst individuals who meet Google’s high qualifications. In order to become a Certified Trainer individuals must pass a series of six examinations based on training modules offered by Google. Additionally, they must also complete a rigorous case study, and create two videos that profile the trainer and showcase their delivery of professional development.
