The changing landscape of the music industry has inspired a new program from Big Fuss Records Inc. One new Artist To Watch will be revealed every week until the final group of eight experienced artists are exposed and brought out to the public eye. The first-rate artists will be promoted and marketed to radio and web partners for the entire year of 2014.
Patrick Ahern began playing music at an early age and started his first band with his friends called EXIT. He later started a punk band called STD in which he played bass.
At the age of 18 Patrick was in a bad motorcycle accident. His injuries were severe and took him away from music. As a young adult he began writing songs inspired by his life experiences.
Patrick's musical range varies from rock, acoustic rock, to rock ballads. He recorded a two song Christmas album for an Irish Homeless Charity released in 2008. He has been awarded several awards over the last three years in the well known "UK Songwriting Competition"
In 2012 Patrick finished and released his 2nd CD "Fade Away" recorded in Los Angeles with Producer Mikal Reid whose credits include Ben Harper, Aerosmith, Jessie McCartney, Suzie McNeil, Colin Armstrong and many more.
In 2012 Patrick's song "American Dream" aired on ABC's "Desperate Housewives" Episode "Who Can Say Its True"(Bar Scene) during the shows last few episodes. Most recently "Fade Away" and "When We Were Young" from Patrick's CD "Fade Away" were placed in independent film "The Vein Within" currently being released. Patrick continues to write and record regularly in Los Angeles.
The select group of top talent from Big Fuss Records Artists To Watch will be promoted and showcased for the entire year. The goal is to assist songwriters and musical artists into gaining more exposure while remaining free to promote individual independent projects. The Company seeks to get to know the individual artists more inherently along with their body of work. Big Fuss Records seeks to help artists evolve and grow and believes the Artists To Watch is a win/win situation for both artist and label.
