Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2014 All Set To Begin From June 9

Jan. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), after discussing with the Chinese Government and officials of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam, has decided to commence Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2014 from June 9.  The application forms of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2014 are available on the website of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The last date for online application is 5th March, 2014 and 10th March, 2014 is the final date to submit the printout of online application. The first batch of pilgrims will reach Almora from New Delhi on 12th June.

"The First batch of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2014 will reach Almora from New Delhi on June 12. It will reach the base camp at Dharchula on June 13 and the Yatra will be concluded on September 9 after the last batch reaches New Delhi," Nigam's Managing Director, Deepak Rawat said.

This year, around 18 batches with 60 pilgrims in each batch, will be sent to Kailash and Mansarovar for customary circumambulation this year between 08 June, 2014 and 09 September, 2014. The Yatra will last for 22 days. Each batch will have to spend 3 days in Delhi for medical check-up, briefings and Chinese Visa etc and 18 nights of stay en-route India and in Chinese territory. The Delhi government will arrange for free meals and accommodation for the stay in Delhi.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) every year between June and September.
