The remotely-controlled aircraft has been the source of controversy over the past few months, as promises of domestic use are raising privacy concerns. The purposes of these private drones are still unclear, but uses are being created. Amazon and DHL have already famously expressed their intentions to develop drones that can help deliver packages. Protestors in the Middle East have deployed drones to scout police activity. And homemade drones have been deployed to hunt for drug runners at sea.
