"I want to stay for at least one month (maybe two or three months), after I arrive. Do you have discounted rates for longer stays? Please provide price per month quotes for one, two, and three month length stays (I expect the longer I stay the less the per month price). I want a nice single room or studio with a double bed (important - not two twin beds together). I also would like internet, a washing machine, and a flat screen HD television. So, please tell me what you could arrange for me. I want an apartment for $600-$900 range. It doesn't make sense that apartments in Minsk would be more expensive than the same type of apartment of all major western European cities. I hope you do have a grasp of your cities cost of living compared to the rest of Europe. It is one of the lowest; so these prices are almost funny. This is simply a scam. The taxes and organization of Minsk have nothing to do with these prices. The prices are high; because this is a scam towards foreigners visiting this city. Instead of providing preposterous excuses why you have these outrageous prices for Minsk, try actually making an appropriate price. Do some research about the cost of living in Minsk, according to reputable economic sources. Do some researches about the rating of the quality of life index of Minsk. You will see it is one of the lowest, if not the lowest, for both of these categories. Do research about other similar apartments in Minsk, that are not advertised mainly toward foreigners, and curiously you see that you have more than doubled these prices. Minsk is not Kyiv and St. Petersburg… not even close. And, those cities are doing the same scam as you are. You would do yourself good to probably travel to western Europe. And, more importantly, stop doing some small and simple minded comparison with two other cities from the east. Do the research about what I wrote you is important when factoring prices of a city. You surely know locals would laugh in your face at the prices you are presenting for these apartments. Western Europeans don't need to do this; because we don't have apartment rental companies in Western Europe hijacking prices for foreigners. In Western Europe, we believe in fairness and are against corruption. You obviously don't understand these ideals in your country. It is the reason your country is in the state it is in. Or, perhaps you are proud to be in a country known for corruption, being known as the last dictatorship in Europe (do you realize your country is the laughing stock of Europe?), and having one of the worst economies. It is for these reasons that your prices are actually outrageous. And, actually in Western Europe, your company would already be out of business and blacklisted due to your practices."
