first opened its doors to the public in September of 2010.  It’s located in the heart of Harlem, New York City at 2245 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. (Corner of 132nd Street & 7th Avenue).  In the bright-blue & chromed themed eatery, you can get a steaming cinnamon-tingled waffle, with succulent, spiced fried chicken, and the infamous cornbread that is rumored to be the best cornbread in New York City. Doug E's also serves savory fixes like baked/BBQ Chicken, fried whiting, fried shrimp, salmon, mac 'n' cheese, collard greens, candied yams, potato salad, and a variety of steamed vegetables.  Entrée prices start at $7! Fresh food is the norm at Doug E's Chicken & Waffles. If there’s any thing left over at the end of the day it is donated to people that are less fortunate.

The legendary Hip Hop Artist, Record Producer, and Beat-box Innovator Doug E. Fresh put all of the recipes together! Doug E’s Chicken & Waffles was opened with the goal of offering good food while providing the youth in the community a local hangout. “I wanted to provide the community with a restaurant where the prices were affordable, where they could come and listen to a little music, and enjoy a nice meal.” -Doug E. Doug E's was recently updated with some innovative renovations. The dining area can accommodate up to 25-seated guests. The atmosphere is very inviting. Any given day you may see a celebrity dining in or even Doug E. Fresh himself! It doesn’t matter if you live in the neighborhood or just passing thru Doug E’s can accommodate you! They offer dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering services.
