Rohit Kochhar Won The LegalEra Premier League Awards (2012-2013)

Jan. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Rohit Kochhar, India's eminent lawyer, awarded with the prestigious legalEra premier league award (2012-13). LegalEra, India's renowned legal & corporate awareness magazine published by Legal Media Group, identified the eminent services imparted by the companies, legal corporate firms in the legal arena in India and worldwide. Held at the Hotel Taj Mahal Palace & Towers, Mumbai, the event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities.


To start off, Bhasin and Co. was given the first prize of the evening. Mrs Nina Bhasin graciously received the award on behalf of her firm and showed her gratitude towards partners/associates of the firm, the clients and LegalEra. They were adjudged as the 'Best Aviation Law Firm Award of the Year'. Rohit Kochhar's company, Kochhar & Co. also given the 'Best Real Estate and Construction Law Firm of the Year award. Mr. Nishith Desai, Managing Partner, Nishith Desai Associates won the Best Tax Law Firm of the Year Award. Also Rabindra Jhunjhunwala, Partner, Khaitan & Co gave away the award for Project Finance Team of the Year to GMR Infrastructure Limited.

Most of the prize winners profusely thanked LegalEra for recognizing their contribution to the fraternity. There was a sense of pride and happiness in the air as the winners took home their awards. Rohit Kochhar, Managing Partner, Kochhar & Co., won the prestigious 'Outstanding Achievement Award' in the firm category. To receive the award, Mr. Kochhar came upon the stage along with his wife. Introducing her, Mr. Rohit said that the lady is his wife Sonali who had always acted as a source of inspiration for him. Mr. Rohit Kochhar also appreciated the role of his parents in his achievement.

Legal bigwig Soli Sorabjee, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, got the Lifetime Achievement Award that was given to him in amidst of standing ovation from the audience. Various awards and honours were given to deserving individuals, corporates and firms. Winning teams carefully thanked their family and team. Each person was excited to get the recognition and acknowledgement for being the part of the Indian Legal era.
