Follow on Google News | Industrial Hygienists’ Top New Year’s Resolution – Get CertifiedThe American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) administers the internationally recognized Certified Industrial Hygienist program.
By: American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) The CIH has been the premier standard of occupational hygiene certification for more than half a century, attaining uncompromised integrity, global recognition and career-lasting value. The CIH is held only by an elite group of professionals and provides the credential that allows an Industrial Hygienist to stand out from the crowd. For those looking to make 2014 the year they become certified, the American Board of Industrial Hygiene has developed a clear path to CIH certification. The first step is to review one’s eligibility which can be determined in a matter of minutes using a self-assessment tool. ABIH can then help each person customize a path for closing any requirement gaps that may be found. Once this has been completed, the application process simply requires educational transcripts, two professional references and a small application fee. Those planning to take the spring exam need to submit all application materials by February 1st. August 1st is the application deadline for the fall exam. “2014 is the year for many in the industrial hygiene profession to take their careers to the next level by earning the CIH credential,” ABIH has also released a video about the benefits of achieving the CIH that can be viewed at: www.abih.org/ To learn more about the CIH program and the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, please email abih@ABIH.org, visit www.ABIH.org, or call (517) 321-2638.
