Gauher Mohammad invited to serve on ASA industrial section policy council

OWATONNA, Minn. - Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Doherty | The Employment Experts is pleased to announce that Vice President Gauher Mohammad has accepted a membership on the American Staffing Association industrial section policy council. This section promotes peer networking and collaboration, advises the ASA board of directions on industry-specific issues, identifies the section’s priorities for the year, and is responsible for developing resources that support staffing companies working in this sector.

On December 31, 2013, Mr. Mohammad completed his term as Chairperson of the Leadership Council for ASA. His term as industrial section policy council member started January 1, 2014.

Mr. Mohammad is currently serving membership terms on two other boards in Southern Minnesota: the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, and the Riverland Community College Foundation; his responsibilities also include serving as past president of the Minnesota Recruiting and Staffing Association (MNRSA).

Taking on staffing industry challenges and opportunities
Mohammad said, “I am honored to be invited by ASA to serve on the industrial section policy council. It will be exciting to advocate for the staffing community in 2014—there are so many challenges and opportunities ahead of us. From the economic recovery, low unemployment rates and the resulting shrinking labor pool, to the impact of the Affordable Care Act and other regulatory changes, to the growth in Minnesota manufacturing—we have a lot to discuss and strategize about and I’m looking forward to it.”
