Star Medical Center Plano Sees First Patient

PLANO, Texas - Jan. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- PLANO, TEXAS (November 19, 2013)…Star Medical Center (http://www.starmedcenter.com/), a new surgical hospital in Plano, Texas, began seeing patients Nov. 18, 2013.

The facility opened with seven beds, three operating rooms and one procedure room. In addition, plans are already underway for a continued, controlled growth.

“It’s all very exciting,” said Pam White, Star Medical Center’s chief clinical officer. “In the first quarter of 2014, we will increase capacity to 16 inpatient beds, four operating rooms and two procedure rooms. After that, we’ll add an imaging center and urgent care center on the hospital property, as well as additional suites and office space.”
