By: The Diamond Supplier A Texas mom is left baffled after returning to her car Saturday afternoon. Tina L. had finished her weekly grocery shopping and was getting into her vehicle when she sat on something in her front seat. Upon inspection, it was a small jewelry box. The contents of the box: a solitaire diamond ring. “It was the strangest feeling in the entire world to climb into my beat-up, old sedan and find this amazing piece of jewelry!” the San Antonio single mom exclaimed. “I think I sat there and stared at it for several minutes before I did anything else. There were a lot of people in the parking lot, but no one seemed to be watching me or looking for anything when I starting looking around in confusion.” Tina did what came to mind first: call her mother. “I really just had no idea what to do!” she explained. After a quick conversation, Tina hung up with her then-baffled mother and called the local authorities. “We were just as bewildered by the whole thing as Ms. L. was,” stated a local law enforcement officer. “When we arrived on the scene, we had been informed of the situation by dispatch prior to arrival, but were still completely dumbfounded by the whole story even after Lisa explained it to us again.” The small box had local jewelry store The Diamond Supplier’s logo on its lid. When jewelry store representatives were questioned and asked to check sales records, they found that an online purchase had been made two weeks prior for the 2.5-carat diamond engagement ring. Traces to the credit card and mailing address have both led to dead ends. Parking lot cameras from the day in question show a hooded figure approach Lisa’s car, open the door, place the box, and simply walk away. “I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to figure out who it was and why they gave me this incredible fine jewelry gift,” says Lisa. “I’d like to just think that someone was trying to do something nice for someone else during the holiday season.” If you would like to learn more about The Diamond Supplier’s collection of engagement rings for sale, either for someone you know or for a perfect stranger, please visit www.thediamondsupplier.com.
