The premise behind Models for Miracles is simple. Create a fun, exciting fashion show where anyone who wants to model can—regardless of size, experience, age, or exceptionality. Models each sell ten $5 tickets to the show and are provided with an outfit or two from participating boutiques to model in the show. To register or donate, please visit www.ModelsforMiracles.com.
In its inaugural year (January 2012), Models for Miracles had 80 models and raised approximately $5000 for CMN. Last year’s show (February 2013) had over 115 models and raised over $9000 for CMN! The Teen Advisory Board truly led the way with additional recruitment efforts –Megan Keller, Miss Wichita’s Outstanding Teen serves as Co-President and she even choreographed a flash mob performance that the Teen Advisory Board members performed! This year’s show will be February 23, 2014 and our goal is to have 200 models! We are even looking to expand Models for Miracles to a national or regional event!
Models for Miracles is about empowerment, service, leadership, and helping others in our community. We believe in the power of paying it forward! Mrs. Kansas International, Kimberly McDowell has taken this message and shared it with countless others to further promote this event and CMN. As Lao Tzu once said, “a great leader is one who acts as a catalyst—igniting others into action.” Kimberly is truly igniting others into action.
The Mrs. International Pageant is owned and operated by International Pageants, Inc., which also operates Miss International and Miss Teen International pageants. It is the only platform-based pageant system dedicated to highlighting women’s accomplishments through community support.
Mrs. International showcases married women 21-to 56 years old and features three categories of competition, including interview, evening gown and fitness wear. For more information, visit www.mrsinternational.com.
