AVON LAKE, Ohio - Jan. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Tired of bubbling paint and scorched plastic on your ATV or motorcycle? DEI has come up with the perfect kit to keep the excess heat from engines and exhausts at bay using a combination of lightweight, flexible materials that form a reflective barrier against excess heat. Potential uses include using DEI’s thicker dimpled F&T-II Extreme Heat Shield material near any direct heat source such as exhaust, or combining it with a thin layer of Reflect-A-Cool material to provide maximum protection from damaging radiant heat from the engine and radiator.

This Bodywork Protection Kit is great for use on fairings, air boxes, seat pans, rear fenders etc. Installation is easy. All included materials have a self-adhesive backing and can be cut to shape and are designed to form fit to irregular shapes

The kit includes: one 12” x 24” DEI Reflect-A-Cool™ heat reflective sheet, one 1-1/2” x 15 ft. roll of Cool Tape™, and two 10” x 10” sheets of F&T-II Extreme Heat Shield™. Reflect-A-Cool is constructed of fiberglass material backed with a layer of aluminized reflective foil. This moisture and solvent resistant material handles direct heat up to 400° F. F&T-II Extreme Heat Shield reflects direct continuous heat up to 1,750° F while DEI’s Cool Tape is an ultra-lightweight insulating tape that reflects heat up to 400°F providing added thermal protection and a secure seam.
