NMI Appoints Dr. Barbara Davis as New Chief Scientific Officer and VP of Toxicology and Pathology

WORCESTER, Mass. - Jan. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Nemucore Medical Innovations, Inc. (NMI), a nanomedicine company dedicated to the development and commercialization of life-saving nanomedicines for the treatment of patients afflicted with multidrug resistant cancers, today announced the appointment of Dr. Barbara Davis as NMI’s Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Toxicology and Pathology.

Dr. Davis has held numerous scientific and leadership positions in government, academia and the biopharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. She served as the Head and then Acting Chief of the Laboratory of Women’s Health, the first NIH laboratory specifically dedicated to investigative research on the impact of the environment on women’s health and cancers of the breast, ovary and uterus.  Most recently, she was a professor at the Tuft’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and prior, the Associate Director of Toxicology and Pathology at Millennium Pharmaceuticals: The Takeda Oncology Company. She has extensive experience in the development and use of animal models for the study of disease, including experience in the preclinical and late-stage development and characterization of therapeutics.
