Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. Auxiliary Program To Host National Blood Drive

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 1, 2014 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. had an opportunity to partner with a remarkable campaign in December - Below 100. This awareness campaign is focused on the decrease of law enforcement officer deaths. While 2013 ended just shy of the campaign goal, the year is marked as an historical one with line of duty deaths reaching the first all-time low since the 1950s.

An important component to saving lives is blood donation and in conjunction with National Blood Donor Month in January, Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. has set a goal of 100 donors in each state through its Auxiliary programs. While just a drop in the bucket, this effort also brings awareness to an important part of the life-saving process. It is amazing that such a small gift can give someone another birthday, a walk with a loved one, a graduation, the birth of a child. One donor saves three lives.

Show us that your community cares by donating this month through one of our state auxiliary-hosted blood drives across the country during the month of January. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood; the process of giving takes ten minutes. Together, by reaching 100 donors, we can save a mother, father, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, sister or brother.

We need your help! Contact your state auxiliary to find a location nearest you.
