MASON, Ohio - Dec. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Two Ohio based, women-owned companies have joined forces to launch a new jewelry collection designed by Lisa Robin Adkinson and based on author Sonia Jackson Myles’ book titled “The Sister Accord:  51 Ways To LOVE Your Sister.” A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the bracelets will be donated to The Sister Accord Foundation which has 3 global areas of focus:  Educating girls and women, Enlightening girls and women of the Power of Sisterhood and Eradicating bullying and violence against girls and women.

The Sister Accord jewelry collection consists of exclusively designed sterling silver charms adorning a pearl bracelet, inspired by the nine jewels used in the Sister Accord book. “These jewels are foundational in establishing meaningful and loving relationships among girls and women” says Sonia.  The jewels that are inscribed on each charm include: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, Goodness and Selflessness. The collection is completed with a gerber daisy design, which is the Sister Accord symbol. This jewelry collection, in its beautiful execution, will enable girls and women to share special gifts with each other that signify the power of Sisterhood.

“Lisa and I represent what can happen when two “Sisters” come together to make a difference,” Sonia commented.  “I am on a mission to have 1 billion girls live the principles of The Sister Accord, and I’m hoping that people will be inspired with how Lisa and I are using our gifts and talents to support each other and make a difference.”

Lisa Adkinson, founder of Lisa Robin Jewelry, is the designer of the Sister Accord jewelry collection.  Lisa was inspired by Sonia’s movement and wanted to use her gifts and talents to design a beautiful bracelet that symbolizes everything that The Sister Accord movement is all about.  “I wanted to use pearls and sterling silver, in the collection, to represent the elegance of the Sister Accord philosophy while maintaining simplicity in the design of each charm.” said Lisa. “The bracelets are designed to be collected and worn stacked. I love how this represents the way the Sister Accord’s nine jewels layer and build upon one another to create relationships.”

The bracelets will be available online starting today at www.thesisteraccord.com and www.lisarobinjewelry.com.

The Sister Accord—The Sister Accord is a global movement focused on inspiring loving, respectful and supportive relationships among girls and women.  Sonia Jackson Myles is the Founder, President & CEO of The Sister Accord, LLC & The Sister Accord Foundation.
