Kleinfelder Names Steve Wendland New Geotechnical and Geologic Engineering Discipline Leader

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Dec. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Kleinfelder (http://www.kleinfelder.com/)--a global architecture, engineering and science consulting firm--has promoted Steve Wendland as its new Geotechnical and Geologic Engineering Technical Discipline Lead. Wendland, a veteran to the engineering and consulting industry, brings more than a quarter century of engineering experience to the San Diego-based company.

As Technical Discipline Lead, Wendland will be responsible for managing Kleinfelder’s skilled geotechnical and geological engineering staff and the company’s technical development throughout the United States and internationally.

Wendland’s geotechnical engineering expertise includes work with retaining walls, soil and rock structures, soil and rock anchors, reservoirs, solid waste landfills, and highways throughout the United States and as a leader of forensic investigations for retaining wall failures. He has designed foundations for many power generation and industrial facilities, electric transmission lines, aviation facilities, commercial buildings, water and wastewater treatment plants, bridges, and marine structures.
