Follow on Google News | Upcoming NY Rising Question & Answer Event and Organization Assistance for Sandy Affected ResidentsBy: Adopt A House . This event is to focus on receiving answers to many questions regarding NY Rising and its program. Thousands of residents on Long Island are still struggling with the difficult process of getting resolutions to their New York Rising applications. Many other organizations will be there to provide information, guidance and assistance on a multitude of issues and circumstances surrounding the process many residents are experiencing. The goal of the event is to provide information and resources to affected residents, clear up any ambiguity regarding the NYRising process and provide them the answers are seeking, as well as put them in touch with other organizations and groups who can assist them on several different levels and in a variety of ways. The event is taking place from 6pm to 10pm to help families attend the Q & A and also be able to gain information from other groups attending. At 7pm, NY Rising will begin their Q & A group session. The event is hosted by the Town of Babylon, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and Adopt A House. Organizations, groups and representatives in attendance will be: NY Rising Prosource Island Harvest Adelante of Suffolk FEGS Catholic Charities Long Island Volunteer Center United Way FEMA Family Service League Health & Welfare C of LI ProSource Senator Phil Boyle Town of Babylon Representatives County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey Neighbors Helping Neighbors Adopt a House Sandy Support Massapequa Style “Our goal for this event is to provide the affected residents the clarity and information they have been so desperately seeking regarding NY Rising. Many are confused about the process and have questions, so we hope the Q&A will be helpful for many.
