Viewpoint Laboratories launches new line of TrueBlack enhanced UV LED illumination tools

PUTNAM, Conn. - Dec. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Viewpoint Laboratories today announced their new TrueBlack portfolio of products, which includes their TrueBlack 365 nm 12 LED Photo-Quality UV Flashlight Kit, their MR16 TrueBlack 365 nm 12 LED Photo-Quality UV Spotlight, and their Viewpoint Studio LW: LongWave UltraViolet fluorescence imaging enclosure for smartphones.

"Ordinary UV LED illumination products, even those with peak wavelength as low as 365 nm, will emit a significant amount of visible wavelengths," a spokesperson for the company said. The TrueBlack 365 nm 12 LED Photo-Quality UV Flashlight Kit comes pre-assembled, combining a high-brightness UV flashlight with a high-quality UV-transmitting glass filter (Hoya U-325C), captured with an impact-resistant vinyl cap.

The MR16 TrueBlack 365 nm 12 LED Photo-Quality UV Spotlight uses the same core components as the flashlight, reconfigured in the MR16 light fixture format. "This spotlight is the only product on the market that provides the 365 nm LED array in the popular MR16 form factor, so we're very excited to offer this product with the UV-transmitting glass filter included," said the spokesperson for Viewpoint Laboratories.

The Viewpoint Studio LW: LongWave UltraViolet fluorescence imaging enclosure for smartphones enables convenient capture of fluorescent images of small objects with virtually any smartphone. It includes two MR16 TrueBlack 365 nm 12 LED Photo-Quality UV Spotlights and a universal smartphone mounting system (which also works with the 5th gen iPod touch® and similar devices).
