TUSTIN, Calif. - Dec. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- High School Inc. (http://www.highschoolinc.info/) announced a generous contribution of ten thousand dollars from Wells Fargo Bank which will be used to support the non-profit’s Global Business Academy. In addition to the financial contribution, Wells Fargo has also committed to mentoring the students through financial literacy classes. High School Inc. is a progressive non-profit organization established to help students discover career interests and gain “real world” vocational and business experience. The program does this through six academies at Valley High School which equips students with the skills that directly correlate to today’s hottest job opportunities.

“High School Inc. is largely dependent upon the support from trusted business and community partners such as Wells Fargo Bank. The bank’s generous financial contribution as well as the commitment to mentor students in the classroom supports our ability to provide these students with the necessary hands-on experience that is the core of High School Inc.” said Donnie Crevier, president of the High School Inc. Foundation. “Wells Fargo is an exemplary business partner whose contribution will help High School Inc. cultivate the perfect learning environment where students can gain a well-rounded education to prepare them for their careers.”

At the heart of High School Inc. are six academies which offer hands-on, real-world training to prepare students for jobs, entrepreneurial start-ups, college and university—all leading to sustainable employment. Forming the acronym CHANGE, the six academies currently offered through Valley High School include: Culinary Arts & Hospitality; Health Care; Automotive, Transportation & Logistics; New Media; Global Business; and Engineering/Construction/Manufacturing.

Through the organization’s innovative partnerships with businesses and the local community, High School Inc. aims to prepare students to enter the workforce equipped with finely tuned business skills.  Help from organizations such as Wells Fargo makes the success possible.

“At Wells Fargo, one of the values we pride ourselves on the most is that we are only as strong as the communities we serve,” said Wells Fargo Vice President Jimmy Mai. “Being a part of High School Inc. is an honor. By being involved we are training up our future business, civic, and banking leaders. Our involvement is also teaching whole families how to take control of their finances so that they may achieve their dreams, like home ownership and sending their children to college. We look forward to many more years of supporting High School Inc. and Valley High School.”

Wells Fargo has been a partner with the High School Inc. Global Business Academy for more than ten years. Since the beginning of this partnership, Wells Fargo has found a variety of ways to support the non-profit. From providing internships and mentoring to the Global Business Academy students, to making charitable contributions, and offering financial education platforms to parents, Wells Fargo continues to build a productive partnership with High School Inc.
