Performance Painting Announces the Winner of the Gift of Color and

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Dec. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Performance Painting is doing their share of giving back to the community, by providing a local charity with a “Gift of Color.” This year’s winner, Camp I am Special- a charity of Catholic Charities will be receiving $7,500 worth of painting services and Catholic Charities is “Paying It Forward.”

When Catholic Charities saw the video of the Williams family and their need for a paint makeover due to their home being destroyed by fire, their hearts went out to them and they wanted to help.

“We felt compelled to want to do something for them. So, that if we were the winners, we wanted to ‘Pay It Forward’ and do something on their behalf to help them, said Jennifer Garizio, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Jacksonville.

When the owner of Performance Painting heard that the winner wanted to help the Williams family, he felt to only do what was right and that was to help Catholic Charities help the Williams family.

“Helping both Camp I am Special and helping Catholic Charities, ‘Pay It Forward’ to the Williams family allows us to give back in a much grander way and gives us a sense of giving within the company,” said Jason Parker, owner of Performance Painting.

In addition to providing the paint makeover to Camp I Am Special, Performance Painting will be donating the paint and project management to oversee the painting of the Williams family home. Catholic Charities will be organizing volunteers to come paint the Williams home once their house has been structurally restored.

“When you receive something you weren’t expecting, then it’s even a better surprise,” said Ronnie Williams, the homeowner of the house that was burnt to the ground in October of 2013.
