Abstinence Only Education Program Now Available In Henry And Fulton County!

MCDONOUGH, Ga. - Dec. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- – For the second year in a row, Family Support Circle, Inc. (FSC) will be hosting free Abstinence Education Programming benefiting Youth in Henry County and Fulton County. Starting January 14, 2014 staff of Family Support Circle, will be hands-on at various locations in Henry County and Fulton County educating youth on the benefits of waiting until marriage.

Unlike other approaches that focus on contraceptive use, abstinence-only education promotes primary prevention and teaches vital life skills that empower youth to avoid all risk by choosing abstinence. Such skills include, but not limited to: identifying healthy (and unhealthy) relationships; accurately understanding Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and contraception; setting goals; healthy decision-making, and character building.

Youth in the community are more than welcome to sign up to participate in this FREE program.  The Program consists of 10-12 Sessions, once a week. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Youth can sign up at Family Support Circle’s main office located at 155 Westridge Parkway, Suite 215, McDonough Georgia or at our Fulton County Community site at Alexandra Landing Apartments, 2135 Godby Road Apt 27-172, College Park GA 30349. The staff at Family Support Circle, Inc. will be happy to sign on any youth or volunteers, for other events.

* Every Tuesday starting January 14, 2014 from 4:30pm-5:30pm

McDonough Location (HENRY COUNTY)
HAMPTON MIDDLE SCHOOL,
799 Hampton Locust Grove Rd
Locust Grove, GA 30228

* Every Thursday starting January 16, 2014 from 5:30pm-6:30pm
