This contribution has been estimated to be the biggest cash contribution made by any single entity, based in the UK. As the typhoon had hit the country last month; the Philippines have been appealing for global aids to fund its rehab operations. Their embassy in London has been organizing various events and grant ceremonies, post the disaster, to help the country recuperate quickly.
Mr. Bhanu Choudhrie, executive director and Mr. Cherian Thomas, CEO of the company, personally attended the event and supported the Philippines Community. The Consul General of the embassy, Mr. Senen Mangalile greeted them with a warm welcome at the event. He expressed his gratitude by acknowledging the support given by the UK government and entire international community. He remarked that Philippines appreciates the global endowments, which have been proof that the community does not stand alone in dealing with this catastrophe.

Adding to it, she said that this gesture further emphasizes the company’s standing, as a socially responsible conglomerate. Philippines was hit by typhoon Hiayan (locally known as Yolanda) in November, which has been recorded as the world’s strongest typhoon ever registered to hit the land. The typhoon wrecked lives of approximately 11 million people.
