Eligible Veterans will be provided with a safe and stable place to live and meals for up to 10 days with access to public transportation and clothing if needed. During this period of time the Veteran is evaluated by the VA to determine their long term needs to transition to independence and re-enter the workforce and return to a productive life.
“Both Shade Tree and the Kline Homeless Veterans Fund believe that we have a shared responsibility to help provide safe shelter to our local homeless veterans,” said Marlene Richter, executive director of Shade Tree. “Because of this partnership, Shade Tree will be able to provide safe shelter, nutritious meals, and access to community services with the respect and dignity that our Veteran’s deserve.”
“The Kline Homeless Veterans Fund is keenly aware of the Veteran Women in our Service and believe that our partnership with Shade Tree will be able to provide them and their families a facility where they are safe and can the services they need to get back on their feet. This is a unique for us to be able to assist those that have given so much for our Country. We here are proud to be able to work with Shade Tree to help them in their time of need.”–Steve Seiden, Edward Kline Memorial Homeless Veterans Fund
