California State Bar to Offer MCLE E-Discovery Webinars

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Dec. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Palo Alto, CA – December 23, 2013 – Altep, Inc., a leader and innovator in the fields of electronic data discovery and computer forensics, today announced that Alex Lubarsky will present a pair of topics in conjunction with The Solo and Small Firm Section of The State Bar of California.

As a Regional Sales Manager with Altep, Alex has extensive experience in litigation and discovery management. He has been a member of the paralegal education faculty at California State University – East Bay for over a decade, and is currently authoring a textbook entitled Computer Applications for the Paralegal for Aspen Law and Business Publishers.

The first of the two programs is entitled “Leveraging Technology to Beat the Big Guy in the Discovery Game.”  It will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 12 noon until 1 pm. Participants will explore the use of cutting edge litigation technologies to even the playing field when the small or solo firm finds itself litigating against a larger firm. New technologies such as Predictive Coding as well as new e-discovery rules will be explained.

The second webinar will be presented on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. It is entitled “Demystifying Predictive Coding,” and will provide an in-depth discussion of predictive coding and computer assisted review technologies, and the growing body of case law which dictates, how, when and why such technology may be useful in large scale litigation. A demonstration of the technology will also be featured.
