By: The Shift Starter Born and raised in the urban city of Flatbush- Brooklyn, New York, through personal experience, she brings a richly diverse life story to share with students who are ready to transform themselves into the charming, confident, powerful individuals they aspire to be. Over her career, she has given seminars, workshops, speeches and mentored many extraordinary human beings to explore, identify and reach for their goals. She believes it is significant to learn how to change your external color without changing your internal core of who you are. A graduate of the State University at Stony Brook, Michelle received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management. She was certified in etiquette from the Ophelia Devore School of Charm in New York City. Currently, Michelle works as a Human Resources Business Partner for a large Energy company. She is also a member of several professional and nonprofit organizations including; Toastmasters International, Step Up Women’s Network, National Association of Professional Women, Speaking Muscles Academy, Junior Achievement, National Black MBA Association, and the Society of Professional Human Resources. She was highlighted in the 2012 Who’s Who in Black Houston publication. Having been to 6 continents and 20 countries across the globe, Michelle enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and indulging in various cultures and experiences around the world. In addition to many public speaking engagements, workshops and seminars, she is currently writing her first book entitled “The Invisible Chameleon”. End
