Rhode Island Rally Team Eyes 2014 European Rally Championship Ladies Trophy

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Dec. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Providence, Rhode Island. 12.20.13. — Friday December 20^th: On the culmination of what Tracey Gardiner has described as a successful learning year in her Toyota Yaris, privateer team TagRallySport will be vying to go one better for 2014.The Woman owned Rhode Island based Rally Team, which runs two cars in various events in America, is planning to embark on what it hopes will be a full season of events in the coming year.

In addition to the America series, and enthralled by the fact that Eurosport Events wants to encourage female drivers and/or crews to join their refurbished series, Tracey Gardiner is today announcing the formation of a committee to investigate the possibility of also competing in the European championship next year, contesting the ERC ladies trophy as the first ever American Women’s team.

“This is a huge undertaking for us as a privateer team and we hope to attract the attention of both manufacturers and major sponsor partners alike to make this possible. This could be the first time ever that a woman owned Rally team will compete on two continents in the same year” said Tracey Gardiner. She added “Hopefully this will also lead to the creation of a similar female contest in the American series and make for even more interesting events in 2014 for fans and spectators”.

Final details of the 2014 European Championship have just become available, but Tracey is currently eyeing The Circuit Of Ireland Rally, headquartered in Belfast as her debut for ERC participation. The team will have to travel to at least 4 different events of the 12 scheduled throughout Europe to qualify in their quest for the Title.

This year Australian Molly Taylor has secured the coveted award. Tracey hopes to align with some major partners as she mounts what can only be described as a monumental campaign for 2014.

The new year will start for Tracey when she competes in the first event of the 2014 Rally America National Championship series headquartered in Atlanta, Michigan and also involve the towns of Lewiston and Hillman.
