The 2014 National Defense Authorization Act was passed by the Senate on Thursday and the House of Representatives last week.

The piece of defense legislation funds the Army‘s WIN-T communications network project as well as Stryker and Bradley aircraft upgrades.

The legislation also says the Navy will have to limit the costs of its lead aircraft carrier to $12.8 billion and later carriers to $11.5 billion.

$607 billion will be authorized for defense in fiscal year 2014.
