WINGFIELD, Australia - Dec. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Lewis Ag & Construction in Adelaide have enhanced their range of premium quality agricultural machinery with the addition of the T6 Auto Command tractor series from New Holland.

Ideal for work in Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley vineyards, the New Holland T6 Auto Command series features three four-cylinder models—T6.140 (143hp), T6.150 (154hp) and T6.160 (163hp)—which are all noted for their exceptional manouevrability and flexibility. Suitable for general agricultural tasks as well as vineyard and orchard work, these are tractors that offer outstanding fuel efficiency, ease of operation and operator comfort.

The T6 range is ideally suited to row crop work, with an overall operating width of just 2 metres, and its compact dimensions give it outstanding handling on headland turns or in tight and confined spaces. It has an outstanding power-to-weight of 30kg/hp making it an ideal machine for front-mounted implement and loader work, as well as cost-efficient transport work.

An outstanding feature of the T6 series is the Constantly Variable Transmission (CVT), designed so that the tractor is at its most efficient when operating at the most frequently-used speeds, meaning that speed changes become seamless. There are two forward and one reverse gear in the synchronised gearbox and speeds can be adjusted incrementally by as little as 0.01kmh, in order to best suit the job at hand. There are models that can reach top speeds of either 40kmh or 50kmh and so the T6 is also the perfect tractor for taking on transport tasks.

The fuel efficiency of the T6 Auto Command is a stand-out feature, assisted by an 80 litre per minute CCLS hydraulic pump, meaning the engine does not need to be operated at high speed in order to deliver sufficient oil to the hydraulics, in turn reducing fuel costs. Two mid mount remote valves, ideal for vine trimmers and barrel pruners, come as standard on the T6 series and are simply controlled from the operator’s joystick.

In addition, the T6 Auto Command series features Active Stop-Start technology, so the transmission holds the tractor in a stationary position even on the steepest terrain or with a load on board, meaning it’s ideal for working on uneven ground in Adelaide Hills vineyards and orchards.

The T6 series also offers outstanding operator comfort and is a very straightforward machine to operate. The Command Grip joystick is intuitively operated and 8 different functions can be controlled from it. One simple switch allows implements to be raised and then returned to position during a headland turn, and the system allows you to record 28 sequenced operations, all of which can be played back at the touch of a button. The T6 series Sidewinder II armrest offers high levels of comfort and control to operators, while the IntelliView colour monitor means that vital parameters can be easily monitored. The Horizon cab features Comfort Ride cab suspension, ensuring that long hours spent in the operator’s seat are as comfortable as possible.
