Recently named by Harper's Bazaar UK as in the top ten vintage stores worldwide such as Rellik London and Didier Ludot in Paris, Pilgrim is very honored to be in such esteemed retailers as those named by Harper's Bazaar UK.
Pilgrim is known for it's incredible vintage Chanel handbags and Jewelry collection as well as producing it's own line of clothing made in NY, along with an extensive collection of unworn or runway/lightly worn Japanese Designer Clothing from Comme Des Garcons, Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe, Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto and others.
PILGRIM also offers an edited collection of designer’s work from the 50’s and 80’s to include Lanvin, Cacharel, YSL, and Ungaro with a focus on wearable ready to wear vintage as opposed to the vintage designer black tie gown typical store. Jewelry and accessories are essential to the PILGRIM aesthetic. Pilgrim specializes in jewelry from designers such as Dominique Aurientis, Lanvin, YSL, Miriam Haskell, Frank Hess, Juliana, Delizza & Elster, Eisenberg and many others. They generally select fashion forward vintage that can be worn in a modern way and are usually statement/runway type large pieces whether they are earrings, bangles or rings.
Black-washed floors provide the perfect backdrop for the eclectic mix of 20th century abstract paintings, some of which were created by co-founder Brian Bennett, and decorative pieces on display that include Korean pottery from the 4th century. A selection of soy based candles created exclusively for PILGRIM reflect the mood of the collection and are often found burning around the store.
