Almost 80% of mobile users in the Philippines downloaded games or an app in the past months. The study states that “mobile internet user[s] in are young, educated, and seek downloadable content.” Many of them play games, read news and engage in social networking sites. Philippine 3G ratio is 11% and the common problem is internet connection is not that 100% reliable yet and there are some situations that downloading an update on a certain app is really slow. Because of these conditions we created a method that will give users an ease in reading the news without waiting for the articles to load. We are also aiming to do it even in games in the future.

User can choose a category to read or add news clips to favorites at any time the user wanted. All you need is to set the Update Time and you will receive a notification once news updates have arrived. Latest news data were collected and downloaded in a short period of time in advance while internet connection is still good. With this kind of method reading news will be stress free even in areas with bad signals or connections.
