PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 18, 2013 - CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC is pleased to announce the eBook release of Bill Kenney’s latest work, “Victims of The Past.” Formed and shaped by multifaceted characters and a plausible storyline, author Bill Kenney pits the street-smarts of private investigator Moe Flynn and his intrepid team against corporate immorality at the highest levels. Victims of The Past is currently available in all popular eBook formats from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other fine retailers with the print release scheduled for mid-2014, to be distributed by Ingram, the world’s largest book wholesaler and On-demand from the Espresso Book Machine.

For a group of kids from Beach Harbor, Pennsylvania, a day of swimming in the Susquehanna River is about to turn into a nightmare scenario.

Unknown to the group, toxic chemicals had been leaked into the river causing several children to suffer moderate—to severe—chemical burns.

As accusations fly, Liam Gallagher, environmental czar of an accused chemical company, needs answers—fast. With his company’s name being dragged through the proverbial ‘mud,’ Gallagher retains the services of war-veteran-turned-private-eye, Moe Flynn, to investigate the illegal dumping and clear his company of any wrongdoing.

What Flynn and his team discover, though, goes much deeper than any illegal dumping…

When one of the injured girls succumbs to her wounds, the investigation shifts into high gear—

a manhunt to find a killer.

With the help of Diane Husted, a beautiful computer expert, and Joe Benedetti, a down-to-earth investigator, Flynn unearths a connection between the illegal activities of a chemical disposal company and a retired mobster, Sal Falzarone—a connection that could cost them their lives.

But first, Moe Flynn must tame demons of his own…

“Seemingly stripped from yesterday’s headlines, author Bill Kenney delivers a novel of both horrifying relevance and undeniable significance,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Likened to John Grisham’s impactful novel, The Pelican Brief, Victims of The Past casts an illuminating light on the prevailing winds of corruption, and the inspiring heroes who battle against it.”

Author of two published books, more than two-dozen technical articles, and a number of short stories, Bill Kenney strives to develop realistic scenarios and factually based systems and methods found throughout his fictional work. Many of the scenes and procedural knowledge found in Victims of the Past, spawned from his five-year role as environmental manager for a New Jersey chemical plant.
