COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Dec. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Colorado Springs, Colorado – IntelliTec College of Colorado Springs is hosting two holiday giving opportunities in 2013. The first is a stuff-the-bus campaign to collect needed items for the homeless and families in need in El Paso County. The second is a Christmas tree gift exchange that will provide gifts for local children in foster care. IntelliTec students, faculty and the public are encouraged to participate in both of these events.

“We have many families associated with the school who have either been a foster child themselves or have foster children. We also have students who came here living out of their cars and are now working in the community. So it is very dear to our hearts,” said Dean of Students Randy Flynt. Randy added, “We really are touched by the number of homeless students that we affect each and every year and want to do more.”

Participants in the gift exchange for local foster children will choose a card from one of two Christmas trees set up in the IntelliTec reception area or the café. The cards will specify if the gift is for a boy or girl to be purchased and returned to the tree. Gifts are for all ages, however, most will be for ages twelve and under. Randy Flynt will deliver the donated gifts to the children on Thursday, December 19th. The Student Ambassadors and the National Technical Honor Society are heading up the holiday gift exchange, also a first-time event for IntelliTec.
