Santana Records Documentary Spots in Puerto Vallarta

Live it to Believe it Campaign to Feature the Destination’s Hotels, Restaurants and Popular Locations

NEW YORK - Dec. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Legendary rocker and recently honored artist at the Kennedy Center Awards Ceremony, Carlos Santana, will pay homage to his Mexican heritage, the country's people and its rich culture in a new documentary produced as part of the Mexico Tourism Board's “Live it to Believe it” campaign which currently features Puerto Vallarta in its Vallarta-Nayarit promotion.

Spots for the HBO-backed production were filmed in some of Puerto Vallarta’s most well-known locations such as its Malecon, its Lady of Guadalupe Church and its Cuale River Island. Leading hotels, including Garza Blanca, Hacienda San Angel, Marriott Casa Magna and the River Café restaurant will also be featured in the documentary which will be titled “CORAZÓN, LIVE FROM MEXICO: LIVE IT TO BELIEVE IT,” in promotion of Mexico's campaign and Santana's new CD.

Included in the documentary, which will also be released for sale in Spring 2014, will be a historical concert Santana and other international artists such as Gloria Estefan, Fher from Mexican rock group Maná, Lila Downs and Juanes performed this past Saturday, December 14 in Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco, the state where Puerto Vallarta is located.

The uniquely proactive and results-driven promotional campaign has already partnered with other key popular events including the much hyped Mayweather vs. Canelo boxing match this past September, placing Puerto Vallarta in front of one of the largest TV audiences of the year. New elements of the campaign are expected to be released in the upcoming months.

Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport is expected to receive new flights from Lansing, St. Louis, Rockford, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipegas as a result of the 10 million USD campaign. It is also estimated that it will provide an increase of visitors by 103,186 with a 20% increase in room occupancy between 2013 and 2014.
