12% of Financial Institutions Have Gone Completely Paperless in Loan Management

PUEBLO, Colo. - Dec. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- A recent study by the technology company AccuSystems indicates that although 70% of financial institutions use some type of loan document imaging software, only 12% consider themselves to be truly “paperless.”

Surveying 80 community banks and credit unions, with combined assets of over $20 billion, the study found that 71% of institutions believe that document management systems are good investments.

When asked about the “biggest issues” that prevent efficient loan management, institutions cited training staff, getting buy-in from stakeholders, and system building. These three issues represent over 70% of the total responses.
