Scottsboro based big band to perform Christmas concert

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Dec. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Scottsboro based big band POCOCURANTE is scheduled to perform a Christmas concert Saturday, Dec. 21 at Collins Auditorium.

Special guests Ashton Jones and award winning singer Tom Blizzard are scheduled to perform with the 17-piece big band. The show will feature nearly two hours of Christmas and Big Band music

The evening of music will also feature a multimedia presentation highlighting the composers, artists, personnel and history of performances.

Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door for only $18.

“It started as a jazz quartet here in Scottsboro, but it’s grown into a 17-piece big band,” said Steven Porter of POCOCURANTE. “I look forward to seeing everyone there. Thank you for your continued support!”
