Training Program for Language Service Providers: Eight Across Certifications in Five Months

KARLSRUHE, Germany - Dec. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Since July 2013, Across Systems GmbH, the manufacturer of the Across Language Server, has offered an extensive training program for language service providers. Meanwhile, eight companies have already qualified for the "Across Certified" label, including global LSP, Welocalize, the first English-speaking language service provider. Moreover, gds-Sprachenwelt, tsd Technik-Sprachendienst, and CLS 4-Text have successfully completed this year's last training week, obtaining the Across certification.

The certification comprises five modules on the subjects of project management, terminology work, and system administration in Across and is custom-tailored to user needs. The objective of the program is to make it easier for businesses to find language service providers with extensive, in-depth Across skills. To ensure high training quality, only a limited number of sessions are held, at which the participants are intensively coached in small groups.

Due to the high demand, English-language training has recently been made available. Global leader in translation and localization solutions, Welocalize group was the first to make use of this offer and spent a week with Across in Karlsbad, Germany, with five participants. "The training gave us detailed insight into the end-to-end workflows and options delivered by Across. The training and accreditation give us the tools and knowledge to engage with clients, helping support their Across deployment and adding value to the process", says Joe Hickey, Enterprise Program Manager at Welocalize.

By qualifying for the "Across Certified" label, gds-Sprachenwelt GmbH, tsd Technik-Sprachendienst GmbH, and CLS 4-Text GmbH have also gained the possibility of effectively demonstrating their Across competencies to the outside. Additional certifications are planned for 2014, and the first training weeks are already booked out.
