Long Island Pet Professionals and Doggie U K9 Academy help raise nearly $1,300 for Unchained NY!

BAY SHORE, N.Y. - Dec. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- (Bay Shore, NY – December 2013) On Friday, December 6, 2013, pet lovers braved the down pouring rain to come to the Holiday Pop-up Pet Boutique hosted by Long Island Pet Professionals, LLC, (LIPP), and Doggie U K9 Academy in Bay Shore, NY.  With holiday music playing, pups getting to pick out their favorite items, refreshments for the pups and humans alike, the evening was a great success.

From 6pm to 10pm a steady flow of pet parents along with their dogs came to the Holiday Pop-up Pet Boutique to shop for holiday gifts for their pets as well as their human pet friends.  “We had about 125 people and 50 dogs come to Doggie U throughout the evening all to support a wonderful local organization, Unchained NY. Everyone was having a great time, shopping enjoying the festive event, all while knowing they were helping dogs less fortunate,” said Nancy E. Hassel, President and founder of Long Island Pet Professionals.  “I am so grateful for the great work Unchained NY does in our community. And am incredibly thankful to PetWorks, Life is Gruff, Zelda’s Song, CritterZoneUSA and everyone else who donated pet products to be sold at the event – and everyone who came out to support the event too! And of course to Doggie U for allowing us to host the first event!”

“We are so grateful for the wonderful turnout of animal lovers who came to support Unchained New York at the holiday pop-up boutique! We raised nearly $1,300, which will primarily be used to fuel our Community Outreach Program through the frigid, winter months. It is critical for us to help keep these dogs keep warm, as it is often a matter of life and death,” stated Kyra Dorn Co-Founder and Co-President ofUnchained New York, Inc.  “We will also use some of the monies raised towards our Spay and Neuter Initiative, which provides these crucial surgeries at no cost to the members of our outreach program. We are so thankful to everyone for the success of this event and the work we are able to do as a result!”

Due to the success of this event, Nancy E. Hassel of Long Island Pet Professionals and Rolissa Nash and Ginny Anziani of Doggie U K9 Academy decided to make this an annual event and choose a different local animal rescue group every year.
