CORENA implements comprehensive Parts Catalogue solution based on S1000D at Norwegian Rail

Dec. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- CORENA, a global leader in S1000D software and implementation services, an­nounced today that they have signed a strategic agreement with Norwegian Rail (NSB) for a comprehensive installation of an S1000D based MRO solution.

Under this agreement CORENA will implement an electronic Parts Catalogue solution for all train types. The solution builds upon NSB’s Visual Information Library solution (VIL) already delivered by CORENA. The Visual Information Library shall support the new Flirt trains with 3D models for intelligent naviga­tion, and it will now be extended to cover all other existing and future train types.

The solution, which offers seamless integration to SAP, includes capabilities for both 2D and 3D Parts Catalogues and for generating job cards in XML/S1000D format.
