HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Dec. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Black Label Filmworks launched a Kickstarter Campaign for its labor of love, a 13-part miniseries based on the Cathy Cash Spellman bestseller, Paint The Wind http://kck.st/1it7x6f.

“Fans of Spellman and her books have an opportunity to help us ‘crowdfund’ this labor of love,” said producer Charin Barone.  “We’ve been working hard to bring this ‘Gone with the Wind’ type story to life. We are working with a Canadian production company, have selected the director. We need one massive push to get us over that ‘tipping point.’”

According to its Kickstarter page, the production team is sourcing the reaming elements such as talent and locations. Pledges from fans of the book will allow the team to work through the plethora of details needed to finalize the project. “With today’s technology, social media and wonderful platforms like Kickstarter, we believe we can keep the momentum we’ve established.” Barone said. “This story chronicles a pivotal time in American history for women who gave just as much and worked just as hard as the frontiersman who settled the west. Even today, we still have many hurdles to overcome in defining who we are and where we come from.”

To pledge support and become an active part of the project, visit the Paint The Wind miniseries page at http://kck.st/1it7x6f.  Incentives include autographed posters and DVD sets, credit in the back end titles under the Black Label Filmworks supporters category, an invitation to the crew screening after post production, attendance at the gala premiere, and for the larger donors-an actor of a day with a 5-line speaking role.
