PHOENIX - Dec. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Dr. Neal Rockowitz, MD, Phoenix was recently interviewed by The Western Medical Journal on the benefits of Anterior Hip Replacement Surgery for those suffering from debilitating hip pain. Doctor Rockowitz explains how the anterior approach differs from more convential surgery. He is one of the few physicians in the country adept at performing this procudure.

"For decades the most common approach to doing a hip replacement was going in posterior fashion through the buttocks muscle and that involves going through the muscle and cutting some of the muscle. The beauty of the anterior approach is that we go between the muscles so there's no muscles that are cut. It takes some slick manevuers to get the exposure but the reality is that we don't have to cut any muscle." Dr. Rockowitz elaborated.

Dr. Rockowitz goes on to explain how this procudure hastens the patients recovery time to get them functioning normally as quickly as possible.
