Producer, Eric Mobley, Receives First Grammy Nomination for Work on Tamar Braxton’s New Album

From Producing the #2 Single in Steve Harvey’s Hit Film, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like A Man”, to Grammy Nomination for Work on Tamar Braxton’s “Love & War”, Eric Mobley is ahead of What Comes Next

ATLANTA - Dec. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- In just one year, 20 year-old Eric Mobley, has written and produced signature work for two of the most celebrated names in entertainment—Steve Harvey and Tamar Braxton.

This week, Mobley was recognized for his production and songwriting talent for the song “White Candle” on Braxton’s “Love and War” when the album received three 2014 Grammy nominations. “It’s an amazing experience,” Mobley said from his studio in Atlanta, Georgia. As he removed his headphones, he smiled “I’ve been putting in the hard work and pouring my heart and soul into my craft since I started producing back home in Atlantic City, New Jersey when I was 13.”

In online reviews from US-based bloggers “White Candle” is consistently referred to as, “… one of my favorites”. And in the UK, the sentiment is similar. One noted online aficionado says, “'White Candle' is one of my favourites. Tamar sings over a harmonious piano with explosive emotion and genuine passion, one of those tracks that you could listen to full blast, in a dark room - it's literally perfect.”

And Mobley has certainly been ‘putting it in’.  Even with placement of his “What Did I Miss” in the Steve Harvey hit movie, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like A Man”, to his work with Rockweiler (Janet Jackson, 50 cent, Mya), Anthony Dent (JayZ, Biggie, Aretha Franklin) and Pop Wansel (Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Fantasia), the young producer has just begun to scratch the surface of his musicality. His notable work also includes production and songwriting support for Jacob Latimore, Flo Rida, KeKe Wyatt, Q Parker from 112, Justin Martin, Jimmy Cozier and others.

In January under the name GOLDe, the self-styled Mobley, will release his  “ELEVATION” mixtape, which explores his personal artistry as a singer and rapper. “I usually record the vocals and raps on my demos for placement consideration and they’ve been getting good response, so stay tuned!” commented Mobley. And if that’s not enough, he has a debut acting role in the recently released "A Christmas Blessing" directed by Russ Parr and starring Omari Hardwick, Lisa Arrindell Anderson and David Banner.

About the nomination, Mobley said, “This is the best start to a new year… when your passion touches others. My music is all about moving people to think about things in a different way. Getting them up out of their mental, and physical, seats… that’s what I do.” And you’ll find Eric Mobley in his seat at the 2014 56th Grammy ceremony. “#Grateful. That’s all I can say,” he smiled while putting his headphones back on.

Mobley is currently signed to Eight72 Productions.
