Hollywood Makeup artist to create new Printworks Mascot

With the retirement of the current Printworks mascot ‘Harry the Hound’ due in 2014, The Printworks turn to Hollywood for inspiration for the new mascot.

MANCHESTER, U.K. - Dec. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- The Printworks is looking for a mascot who can take over Harry’s role and they are asking the members of the public to help design the new mascot. Harry was an amazing mascot and it will be difficult to find someone who can fill his shoes! The Printworks are looking for the latest mascot to be dynamic, fun, exciting character. In a nutshell The Printworks new friend needs to capture the essence of The Printworks.

The competition to design the latest The Printworks mascot is now open and the winning design will be brought to life by one of the world's best movie makeup sculptors and artists, Shaune Harrison. Shaune has worked on some of the biggest films ever made and has created iconic characters such as Lord Voldemort (Harry Potter), Red Skull (Captain America) and worked on countless other Hollywood blockbusters. Shaune is due to open his first makeup academy in Manchester in may 2014.

The competition is open to people of all ages and Shanue himself will pick the winner and develop the character before building the final design. Entries close on the 31st January 2014 and the winners will be announced mid-February.

Fred Booth, Centre Director of The Printworks said;

“It’s very sad that Harry is leaving us after 10 years, he’s been like one of the family. It’s time to welcome someone else and we hope that our latest edition will have just as much fun as Harry did. I’m sure the public will make us proud and send in some great suggestions!”
