EDINBURGH, Scotland - Dec. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Russell Gibson, Chief Operating Officer at Energy Assets, has been appointed Chairman of the Livingston Youth Foundation, extending the company’s engagement with the football club and the community beyond its current headline sponsorship deal.

Mr Gibson is lending his support to the Foundation’s youth community programmes and will also be encouraging members of staff at the locally-based company to give their time in support of young people across West Lothian.

“I am delighted to take on the role of Chairman of the Youth Foundation and aim to reach out not only to our own people but to other businesses locally to support the excellent work of the Foundation in schools and in the wider community,” said Mr Gibson. “Although the Foundation is rooted in football, the impact of their activities goes way beyond coaching and is a positive influence on how our young people develop and grow.”

The Livingston-based company, the leading independent provider of gas metering services to the UK industrial and commercial sector, is the Livingston FC’s headline sponsor and as part of a highly innovative deal is currently working with Livingston to create one of the most energy efficient sports stadia in the country. New energy monitoring and control technologies are being installed, including the company’s latest Energydata24 multi-utility automated meter reading system that will collect consumption data on a half-hourly basis and provide detailed usage analysis.

Charles Burnett, Commercial Director of Livingston FC and Trustee of the Foundation said: “We are delighted that Russell has taken on the role of Chairman of the Youth Foundation – his commitment underlines the active participation of the company in the day-to-day life of the club and the wider community.”
