How does Volvo’s competition measure up? Volvo’s Certified Pre-owned warranty covers the vehicle for 84 months/100,000 miles from the original in-service date. Comparatively, Infiniti’s CPO warranty is 72-month/100,000 from the original in-service date and Mercedes-Benz’s limited warranty provides vehicle coverage for 12 months or up to 100,000 accumulated vehicle miles and begins at the expiration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Of the three, Volvo, Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz, only Infinit charges a nominal $50 per claim warranty deductible.

The largest variant in the three automobile manufacturer’s CPO program is the starting point. While all certify only late model vehicles, they define late model a bit differently. Volvo’s CPO program includes only vehicles less than 5 years old and with less than 80,000 miles. Infiniti certifies vehicles less than 4 model years old and with less than 60,000 miles. Mercedes-Benz certified pre-owned vehicles with less and 75,000 miles and less than 6 years old.

All three manufacturers boast stringent inspections with Infiniti topping the list by inspecting over 150 points. All offer special financing for their Certified Pre-owned Vehicles and all offer emergency roadside assistance.
